1. Purecrea RTC DS3231 time module with AT24C32 EEPROM memory 32K
The DS3231 module is an accurate I2C real-time clock (RTC) with an integrated temperature quartz oscillator and crystal. The module must be powered by a rechargeable buffer battery to maintain the time during a power outage. If you want to operate the clock with a more affordable CR2032 button cell battery, you need to remove the resistor (201) on the right side above the SCL label. The date is automatically adjusted, and leap year corrections are taken into account. The module offers two configurable alarms and a calendar. Address and data are transmitted bidirectionally via an IIC or I2C bus. The module has a very accurate digital temperature sensor integrated, which can be queried via the I2C interface. You can find a suitable library for controlling the DS3231 clock in the Arduino Library Manager, which you can install.
