A solar charger is supplied with energy via solar panels and then stores it in batteries. Using the latest and fastest technology, the SmartSolar maximises this energy harvesting and intelligently directs it to fully charge the batteries in as short a time as possible. The SmartSolar maintains the battery's functionality, extending its life.
The SmartSolar charge controller even recharges a severely discharged battery. It can operate with a battery voltage as low as 0 volts, provided the cells are not permanently sulphated or otherwise damaged.

MPPT: Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking

By continuously monitoring the voltage and current output of your solar (PV) panels, MPPT technology ensures that all available energy is actually drawn from the panels and stored. The advantage of this is most noticeable when the sky is partially overcast and the light intensity is constantly changing.

Remote monitoring and control
You can remotely control and monitor the extensive features of your SmartSolar MMPT charger with built-in Bluetooth by pairing it with your smartphone or other device via VictronConnect. If your system is connected to the Victron Remote Management Internet portal (VRM) via a GX device, you have full access to your MPPT anytime and from anywhere. Both VictronConnect and VRM are available free of charge. For remote installations - even if there is no internet connection nearby - you may be able to monitor your MPPT by connecting to the GlobalLink 520.

VictronConnect
With VictronConnect you can get live status information and configure all Victron products that either have a built-in Bluetooth function or are connected with a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle.
