The Rollei Astroklar filter, made from high-quality optical glass, is particularly suitable for astrophotography and nighttime landscape photography. The Astroklar filter effectively reduces light pollution when shooting in the dark. A special coating is used on the Rollei Astroklar filter that suppresses the typical wavelengths of yellow and orange light produced by common artificial light sources, such as street lighting. Nevertheless, the Astroklar filter remains extremely neutral in the infrared light spectrum, which is a significant advantage for astrophotography.
