I am thrilled with this product.

I used my Sony for events, holidays and sports. It is excellent for this purpose. The high ISO value is particularly helpful at events (concerts, e-sports, etc.) where an additional light source is disturbing. Thanks to the robust construction, it is ideal for sports photos and videos. Unfortunately not 4k 60fps but 120fps in 720p. Since I very rarely film in 4k, the 60fps in 1080p is perfectly sufficient.

The only thing I miss is being able to record in 10-bit or even RAW. Unfortunately, this is not possible even with an external recorder. I also recommend adjusting the S-Log settings. I noticed a slight green cast in my recordings, but this can be remedied in post-production or in the presettings.

Otherwise, the Sony offers many helpful functions such as zebra, focus peeking, etc. The autofocus was not as good as I expected. I didn't use the autofocus so much because I mostly used my Canon lenses with an adapter. With Sony's own G-Master lenses, the autofocus works reliably. However, thanks to the setting options, manual focusing is no problem. With a little practice, consistently good and sharp images can be produced.

Unfortunately, the model is now a little outdated. Naturally, it lags behind the specifications of current models (especially compared to the Canon R5). Nevertheless, the a7s2 offers everything an ambitious and creative filmmaker needs. Anyone who needs a tool to realise their creative visions will be absolutely satisfied with this product.

Ultimately, any camera is only as good as the user.

Brilliant low- and available light cam.

I have been using this cam for about 1.5 years, mainly for night photography and in difficult light situations even up to ISO 51200, and I am very satisfied with the results. Fast lenses and 5x IBIS are key.
