    Get out and take photos

For me, Pentax DSLRs are very good tools for successful photos. I find the image quality very good. They are faithful companions for taking photos in all weather conditions. Whether rain or fine dust, the system simply works. (Attention: use the right lens) I find the handling very successful with Pentax. I bought the KP as a supplement / replacement for my K50. The reason for the purchase is that I set many parameters myself. I am now much faster with the KP. Very practical for me is that I can still use two good lenses that I bought 20 years ago. The KP does exactly what it is supposed to do. I am very satisfied with the photos. I need the camera mainly for landscape, street and art. Maybe the Pentax isn't the fastest, but I still manage to take good sports shots.
I hit the bull's eye when I bought the KP. It's really fun to work with, everything goes smoothly. For me, this is an important basis for successful and creative photos.
I don't know and am not interested in whether a pixel is half crooked or something is particularly good.

So, now KP is looking at me trustingly and shouting: "Let's go out and take some photos! That's how it has to be!

I would order again today if I lost it

Top camera, hard to beat in this price range for quality and features. I own cameras from other major manufacturers (M43, APS-C, FF), but the Pentax has nothing to fear in comparison. I can't understand why Pentax is such a niche product.

    Ok for me

Beautiful camera, but "only" APS-C. But all PK lenses from the old days fit. A touchscreen would be desirable.

    Pro

    • Beautiful
    • "light"
    • PK Compatible
    • Can be equipped with M42 ring

    Contra

    • No touch screen
    • Display cannot be rotated
