My best purchase in recent years!
Shooting with this camera is incredibly enjoyable and fun. Furthermore, the E-M5 Mark II feels very valuable and the image quality is top and never ceases to amaze. Thanks to its compact size, this beautiful camera can be taken anywhere and doesn't look as conspicuous abroad as the oversized DSLR monsters. Of course, there are certain limitations due to the sensor size. But I would think that for 9 out of 10 hobby photographers, the image quality is more than adequate. My recommendation is all pro lenses as well as the premium lenses with 1.8 fixed focal length.

An incredible camera, with so many features that I still don't have a handle on them all.
The image quality is very good for a microthird sensor. The autofocus is incredibly fast.
The lens included is of very good quality and feels very good in the hand.
Absolutely recommendable for travel photography.

As a Nikon and Olympus hobby photographer and Fotofreak blogger, I am absolutely thrilled with the new camera.
It has a high-quality finish and is correspondingly robust and tight.
The image quality is absolutely top. High image dynamic range. The 12-40mm f2.8 is a high-quality universal zoom. It often saves having to change lenses with a fixed focal length. Especially when travelling, camera and lens are a great team.
The 40 megapixel function serves its purpose. The 40MP JPG or even 63MP RAW pictures are crisp. But be careful, it only works with static motifs! You can't take pictures of moving people, plants or water. But no matter. The 16MP are absolutely enough for top pictures.
The OM-D E-M5 Mark II is aimed at ambitious hobby and professional photographers who want to do more than just shoot with automatic.
The Olympus can be configured extremely flexibly and thus adapted to one's own needs. The menu structure as well as the many function keys can be assigned almost at will. Due to the insane variety, there are certain combinations that cannot be set. You have to be willing to experiment a little.
The aperture button, the programmable Fn buttons, the various long exposure modes, the super image stabiliser and much more make the Mark II a top model in the system camera class.
