Cool lights (but still quite expensive)

Great luminaires for a stylish home.
The colours are absolutely clearly defined and dimmable. Different effects make these panels a real eye-catcher. Addictive, but the prices are still quite high at the moment. Especially
for the extension kit. 4 stars because of the high price. For those who have the necessary change - CLEAR BUY RECOMMENDATION.

Really nice product for decorative purposes, but unfortunately still many teething problems.

I'm actually a huge fan of all these intelligent lighting systems and have completely fitted out various rooms in my house with them, but unfortunately I have to say about the Nanoleaf Aurora system that it doesn't quite meet my expectations.
It should really be seen much more as a decorative item than as a lighting system. In the highest case, still as a supplement.
The concept is very intuitive and it is very nice to look at, but unfortunately certain factors devalue the whole thing a bit, hence only three stars.
First point: The somewhat poor light output... I have connected 18 panels together and it is just enough to give the room light a little help, but by no means to set the room in a complete mood.
Second point: When switching on with the light switch, all panels first shine in bright white for 1-2 minutes before they return to the last programme. This is very annoying in the morning... And unfortunately, some panels still light up slightly when I switch them off using the control panel.
Third counterpoint: No Swiss mains plug included... I bought the same set twice from two different suppliers, but this one at Digitec didn't come with a Swiss cable.... And since these are not the normal cold appliance plugs, but the round three-pin ones, I first had to connect an adapter in between.

    Pro

    • Intuitive product
    • Beautiful colours
    • Quickly and easily put together
    • Nice to look at

    Contra

    • Rather poor light output
    • Long duty cycle with the light shining at full intensity in bright white.
    • Partial panels remain dimly lit when they are only switched off and not disconnected from the power supply
    • No Swiss power cable
    • Sometimes it does not recognise panels and then you have to restart, otherwise they remain white.

Does what it should, but is too expensive

The extension kit does what it is supposed to do, it extends the existing Nanoleaf installation. However, I find it a pity that the extension kit costs more or less the same as the starter kit when you calculate down to the individual panels. So instead of ordering three expansion kits, it is better to order another starter set - it costs the same, but includes more.
