I've been taking photos for a good 25 years... Digitally with 30D, 50D and since a month with the 5D MK3...
This camera is by far the best I know. Sometimes I think they have reinvented photography!
What surprises me is that the image noise is sensational. For me, it is only disturbing from ISO 6400/12800. Since I almost exclusively take photos of concerts, this is very convenient for me with a good lens. The workmanship is, as usual with Canon, very good. Compared to the MK2, the arrangement of the controls has also improved. The setting options are practically unlimited. However, this camera is really only recommended for advanced and professional users, as it also demands a lot from the user. A reference book (e.g. by Michael Hennemann) is also recommended, as the instruction manual that comes with the camera does not give the best of the camera's possibilities...
All in all, this 5D MK3 is worth every franc.
Many thanks to digitec...!
There is actually nothing to criticise about the camera and that rarely happens with me ;) The only thing I'm a little envious of is the WiFi on the 6D.
Pro
@tkads: it's simply terrible what certain people think. This is a valuation account, not a pastoral care account. Digitec is actually fast in transferring, and if it doesn't work the same day then it's usually there the next morning... that's why I don't go buy them anywhere else. just ridiculous, and childish! Digitec please delete ;)
The camera is worlds better compared to the Mark II. have tested both together. from ergonomics to image quality and settings just great.
Makes the Mark II a minor matter ;)
With the ingenious ergonomically improved battery grip, it's even more fun!
It is a top professional camera that leaves nothing to be desired. If you like to be creative and enjoy experimenting, you are in good hands. For some users, the lack of a built-in flash may be a tiny disadvantage. But because of the very high IS0 number that can be set, e.g. 12,000, it is still possible to take sharp photos without a flash.
I can highly recommend this camera to creative people.
Pro
Contra
The workmanship is simply very good again. The dimmer button is now also easier to reach. In the high ISO range, a lot has changed compared to the MK II; I noticed this especially in indoor sports.
The new autofocus takes some getting used to and it is recommended to get to grips with it. The setting options also leave practically nothing to be desired.
I can only recommend this camera.
