What concerns do you have?
No. Only future models.
I don't know what you call a UNIFI environment, but I have UNIFI repeaters and they work perfectly with my DS224+.

Two LAN ports provide more flexibility and bandwidth through link aggregation, which increases the overall speed when both ports are used. While a single port might suffice, the extra capacity is especially useful when multiple devices are accessing the NAS simultaneously or when a redundant connection is desired to increase availability.
Automatically generated from the .You can connect an external hard drive to the USB port and access it via the network, you can also connect a WLAN dongle via USB. But first check compatibility at https://www.synology.com/de-de/compatibility
It's sold without a disk. It works really well for a NAS of this range. After that, my disks don't feel all there is, but the RAM is sufficient for classic storage and management.
Bonjour, For general reference: Idle (HDD Hibernation): Around 7-9 watts with 2 hard drives. Active (Accessing/Copying Data): Around 15-20 watts with 2 hard drives
Hello, it's ideal for this. It always depends on the amount of photos and videos you want to store, then you should buy the hard drive. Synology also offers remote access with Quickconnect.

Hello, if you have a "basic" use of your NAS you have probably configured it in Synology Hybrid Raid (SHR). There is fault tolerance on a disk with this type of RAID, which is unique to Synology, so that already gives you some security. The "best" solution would be to set up 2 mirrored NASes (one NAS is used to back up the other, automatically), but if you want to duplicate your data on an external hard drive, in theory any one could do. Personally, as a photographer I have an automatic backup of my NAS on Amazon Glacier, it costs next to nothing and in the event of a total disaster I know it's always possible to recover my data. But perhaps you don't want to use the cloud.
Is only intended for 3.5 inch. For 2.5 inch adapter Synology hard drive holder
Yes, I have installed two of these discs in my DS224+ and it works perfectly.
The 224+ has much more power and is authorised for the latest DSM as well as many more options.

The plastic front is only clipped on and therefore easy to move.
According to Intel's data sheet, the processor supports 4k at 60Hz. Specifications without guarantee. https://www.intel.de/content/www/de/de/products/sku/197305/intel-celeron-processor-j4125-4m-cache-up-to-2-70-ghz/specifications.html
I can recommend the following module, which gives me 18GB RAM in total and runs stably: Kingston KCP426SD8/16 1 x 16GB, 2666 MHz, DDR4 RAM, SO-DIMM
