Question about Synology DS224+
Hello Which discs are installed exactly? Effectively SSD as in the description? Or are they standard HDDs? How much additional RAM has been installed? Thank you and best regards

It's sold without a disk. It works really well for a NAS of this range. After that, my disks don't feel all there is, but the RAM is sufficient for classic storage and management.
I have installed the usual HDDs, 2x6TB WD red: https://www.toppreise.ch/preisvergl.... No additional RAM so far.
No disks are installed in the case by default.
You have to install the disks yourself and it's very easy to do.
I've tested disks up to 22tb in size without any problems. For a total of 44tb!
For RAM there is 2Gb and it's up to you if you want to increase it but in my opinion it's not necessary for this type of NAS except for special use.
