At 4k, both are capable of 60 Hz, I only have a 1440p display and achieve 144 Hz on both. G-Sync also works for me with both Asus PG279Q displays.

This part works well with all kinds of USB peripherals, only with USB hubs it sometimes has problems. Don't ask Digitec's support. A certain Filip Zivic tried to make me understand that the 4 USB ports are only meant for mouse and keyboard and only work for them. They laughed at StarTech.com support and said: "of course not. the KVM switch works for all USB peripherals, otherwise it wouldn't have 4 ports". it should actually also work with USB hubs. you can actually connect 200 USB hubs in series.

Does this switch also work with a screen resolution of 3440x1440? This would still be below the maximum specified performance, but this resolution is not explicitly mentioned on the manufacturer's page.

Hello, what is the difference between this KVM switch and item no. 12331609? https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/startech-2-port-dual-displayport-usb-kvm-switch-switch-box-12331609 They both look very similar, just advertised in a slightly different category and at a different price. Is this perhaps the manufacturer's version 2?

SV231DPDUA2 supports 4k 60hz, the SV231DPDUA only 1440p 60hz.

Is 2560x1440@144 possible? It is mentioned in the YouTube video. But I can't read anything about it here in the specifications.

Hello Together I would like to build a setup in which I can switch between my Macbook Pro and my PC (via KVM), but it seems that it is not possible to connect it directly to the Macbook. Is it possible to connect the Macbook to a dock or adapter (https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/startech-thunderbolt-3-to-dual-dp-digital-digital-video-converter-10165442) to the KVM and my two monitors to it? I would be happy to hear about alternatives as I would love to connect 1 USB C cable to the Macbook which would charge the Macbook, the monitors and the mouse and keyboard.

Can I use the switch with a Macbook Pro with USB-C ports? For example, by using a Displayport to USB-C adapter in between? Or does that not work in this case?

Hello Exophunk. I bought this product last week to connect my work laptop (HP) and my gaming PC with two monitors. My laptop has 1x VGA as well as 1x DP port. I bought a VGA/DP port for this purpose. Result: VGA to Displayport delivers no result via this switch. I had to get another docking station and now it works wonderfully. In a nutshell: I don't know if a USB-C to DP adapter works with this KVM switch. But you might have to buy a docking station here too. Suggestions: write to Digitec or directly to Startech.

What is the difference between this unit and SV231DPDDUA? SV231DPDDUA2 is over Fr. 100 cheaper at other dealers.

DUA only performs 2560 x 1600@60, but DUA2 performs 3840 x 2160@60.

Can I use one PC with two screens and the other with only one? Cable and connector-wise yes, but does the KVM check that one screen remains black on one and both are used on the other? No problems when switching?
