Can I use the switch with a Macbook Pro with USB-C ports? For example, by using a Displayport to USB-C adapter in between? Or does that not work in this case?

Hello Exophunk.
I bought this product last week to connect my work laptop (HP) and my gaming PC with two monitors. 
My laptop has 1x VGA as well as 1x DP port. I bought a VGA/DP port for this purpose. Result: VGA to Displayport delivers no result via this switch. I had to get another docking station and now it works wonderfully.
In a nutshell: I don't know if a USB-C to DP adapter works with this KVM switch. But you might have to buy a docking station here too. 
Suggestions: write to Digitec or directly to Startech.
