I think these are the usual fantasy prices before the actual market launch. They fall relatively quickly. Besides, you can order it abroad? It's not forbidden ;-)
Want to bet that the 6 pieces in the warehouse still have the old firmware?
You can obviously do it with the Sony users. L-mount probably needs to be pushed.
I have been using the lens for almost 1 year now. I have not found anything that makes the lens bad in this respect. I use it a lot in the forest and I have also come into contact with rain. Of course it is not as faultless in terms of dust and rain as a Sony with an internal zoom. I hope I have been able to help.
It has long been known that Sigma does not include a tripod clamp. The Swiss price, however, is exorbitant anyway, as with every new Sigma lens. This is in comparison to the German prices, where even 16% VAT is included.
A Sigma importer who still adds a large Swiss surcharge. However, it would be fair to compare the price with Germany and the RRP of 999 euros there.
No, they don't work and Sigma doesn't make teleconverters for E-mount for licensing reasons. No, I haven't tried it due to the lack of a Sigma 100-400, but I have read about it. I would have the teleconverters. So if you want to mount a teleconverter on a 100-400, you can't get around the FE 100-400 GM.
It is the type TS-111 which also fits the Sigma 1.4/105. Strangely, however, it is hard to find. Actually, it should also be available in the shop. I can't understand why this is not the case. At Toppreise, a shop is displayed that carries the tripod clamp.
The tripod clamp currently costs around CHF 130, which is simply exorbitant 😆 but it's made of magnesium... and probably not tinkering.
But the clamp seems to be poorly available in general. This is incomprehensible to me. Sigma has also somehow planned wrongly.
