Why is the tripod clamp shown in the pictures, although it does not seem to be included in the delivery? Totally misleading for the buyer! This is a dubious sales strategy?

This is definitely suboptimal, especially as the tripod clamp is very expensive at 170 Fr. and, above all, is still not to be found here in the shop. By the way, it is also worth mentioning that there are no functioning teleconverters for this lens. Sigma only makes teleconverters for L-mount, not for E-mount. I think many buyers will be in for a nasty surprise. Alternative: Sony FE 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 GM OSS
Much more expensive but includes a tripod clamp and teleconverter. The autofocus is also better.
