I can recommend the Seagate HD, it has SATA III fast interface with USB 3. It should be sufficient for your requirements. However, for video editing, if you are using a professional pgm, I would edit on the internal drive first. The SSD Standard HD are also equipped with SATA III interface. If you are looking for a luxury solution, I would prefer an internal Samsung SDD with M2 interface. However, your PC/NB must have a corresponding M2 slot. Here are some details about the external Seagate HD Seagate BUP Portable SCSI Disk Device Heads 16 Cylinders 608'001 Tracks 155'040'255 Sectors 9'767'536'065 SATA type SATA-III 6.0Gb/s Device type Fixed ATA Standard ACS3 Serial Number WCJ2K8WX Firmware Version Number 0001 LBA Size 48-bit LBA Power On Count 170 times Power On Time 5.6 days Speed 5526 RPM Features S.M.A.R.T., APM, NCQ Max. Somehow the worm is in the 5T disks - SG & Toshiba. Often not recognised (different PCs) After "repair" OK until the next time. WD ? I use 2 WD My Book 12T as a film archive and they work perfectly.

Can the hard drive also be used on the Ps4?

Unfortunately I can't answer that as I don't have any game consoles. I think it can be used with the right formatting. Otherwise, google for a compatible disk.

I don't understand this question - I bought this as an enclosure with a hard drive. It has no (visible) screws at all. You would have to destroy the enclosure... Isn't it better to buy a 2.5 hard drive without an enclosure, like Seagate BarraCuda (5TB, 2.5") ?
