not suitable as a mobile hd. neither drop-proof nor impact-resistant. if in operation, best not to move at all. hamaschter's claim is false and borders on fraud.

Drop-proof: Like any HDD, it is sensitive to shocks during read and write operations. When it was switched off, I dropped it on the floor once (it fell about 1.2 m). Since then it has had a dent, but it still works perfectly.

Speed: Difficult to say, as this depends on various factors. I achieve between 10 and 100MB/s on a USB 3.0, depending on the file size and the position of the write operation.

All in all, I am very satisfied with the hard drive.
