Question about Seagate Backup Plus Portable Drive

Does the hard drive also work properly on a USB 2.0 interface? I've had two WD Elements Portable (5TB) that didn't work on USB 2.0 (the first one didn't work at all, the second one only on USB 2.0 for about a month, then exclusively on USB 3.0).

Actually, yes, usb is downward compatible, but it makes little sense because the transfer speed is much slower than usb 2.0.
