Hello, it depends a lot on the settings especially on the display. With my photographic behaviour, one battery was enough for a day trip, although I didn't always have it on and worked with the sleep mode. For always on, including display, I would rather assume three batteries or work with a power pack. Greetings

This can be for many reasons. Scarcity can also be a marketing trick to get people to pay any price, for example. See here the price difference between the GR I and GR II. Maybe Ricoh generally expects a small sales volume and has built up limited capacities. And maybe production and marketing are a perfect match. Other brands have similar problems - see Leica with the Q2.
