Unfortunately, there seem to have been unexpected delivery problems with this laptop, which have pushed back the expected delivery date. Unfortunately, this can never be ruled out. Therefore, all information on availability is always without guarantee and subject to change.

Lenovo recommends the following cases: https://smartfind.lenovo.com/accessories/#/search?categoryL1Name=Cases%20%26%20Bags&categoryL2Names&keyword=&pageIndex=1&pageSize=40&query=82N60041MZ&systemId= You can also find many of them (after specifying the manufacturer's number) on our homepage. Some variants are also listed here which are actually intended for notebooks up to 15.6". Unfortunately, we do not know whether these variants actually fit optimally with this 16" notebook.

According to Lenovo's technical specifications, only two USB-C ports can output a DisplayPort signal (DP 1.4) at all. The third USB-C port on the right is only capable of data connections (no video signal). And only the rear USB-C port seems to be intended for charging. The rear and left USB-C ports should work. I would test those out. The i-Tech cable would also only be suitable for DisplaPort 1.2, but technically it should also work with DisplaPort 1.2. Left: USB Type-C (USB 3.2 Gen 2, DisplayPort™ 1.4) Headphone / mic jack Right: USB Type-C (USB 3.2 Gen 1) E-Shutter button Rear: 3 x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 (always on 5V) USB Type-C (USB 3.2 Gen 2, DisplayPort™ 1.4, power delivery) HDMI 2.1 RJ45 Power in

Helpful answer

The DisplayPort versions of your laptop and monitor are different (1.4 vs 1.2). I can't say if this causes a problem. I would first replace the cable with another brand or an HDMI to DisplayPort cable.

Unfortunately no, at the moment it is only possible for us to order other layouts from the supplier for Apple products 😅 There are a few individual cases, but unfortunately there is no Legion 7 with QWERTY included here: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/producttype/notebook-6?pdo=101-13%3A289%7C101-13%3A780625&tagIds=614 It might be possible for you to order a US keyboard for the desired model separately (from Lenovo or a spare parts portal) and then exchange it with the built-in keyboard.

According to Lenovo, the new Legion 7s already have HDMI 2.1 and a monitor can also be connected via USB-C DP 1.4: https://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/Sys/PDF/Legion/Lenovo_Legion_7_16ACHg6/Lenovo_Legion_7_16ACHg6_Spec.pdf Lenovo itself states the following limitations: "Supports up to 4 independent displays via native display and 3 external monitors; supports external monitors via HDMI® (up to 4096x2160@60Hz) or USB-C (up to 5120x3200@60Hz)". Why the HDMI port is supposedly throttled to HDMI 2.0 speed is unfortunately not clear to me. Unfortunately, lower resolutions with higher Hz such as 1080p@144Hz or 1440p@120Hz are often not tested, although the signal should be possible purely in terms of bandwidth.

The graphics card should be sufficient to run most games smoothly. To be on the safe side, however, the system requirements of the games should always be checked. Basically, however, this notebook should deliver sufficient performance. Unfortunately, we do not have any empirical data on the noise level. However, someone from the community might be able to answer this. You can find a comparison of the RTX 3080 and the 3080 Mobile at the following link: https://technical.city/de/video/GeForce-RTX-3080-mobile-vs-GeForce-RTX-3080

At Digitec, pictures are only for illustration, what counts are the specifications. However, you can report under "Specifications > Report wrong data" that the pictures are absolutely not suitable. Maybe it will be changed.

According to the product data sheet, the following maximum resolution is specified via HDMI: 4096x2304@60Hz. Unfortunately, laptops are rarely tested with DQHD resolutions, so I cannot say which video signals are possible, even if some should be feasible in terms of bandwidth. Another fun fact: I've been using the Odyssey G9 for half a year now, and I'm very satisfied. However, according to Samsung, the "optimal resolution" is 5120x1440@120Hz, not 240Hz. This information can also be found in the official user manual. Unfortunately, I can confirm that the overclock of 240Hz is possible with this monitor, but the pixels do not keep up with fast dark-bright changes and it leads to unsightly images. I therefore recommend that you operate the G9 at 120Hz, whether with this laptop or in another way 👍
