The KSM 200 accessories are not compatible with the KSM 7990, neither the bowl nor the dough hooks etc. can still be used. We had previously fitted the KSM 200 with a chrome steel hook because the colour had flaked off the white hooks. However, the problem was that the bread dough rose up the hook. So we bought a very expensive hook with a small plate at the bottom. This worked most of the time. Because the capacity of the 200 was too small, we switched to the 7990. It already has chrome steel dough hooks, but without the additional plate. The hook is much thicker and has a slightly different shape, so the dough has never risen up here. I have unscrewed the protective grid because it is not needed and only gets in the way. Overall, we are very happy with the machine, which is a bit expensive but really worth the money for us.
