So currently the item costs 599.- again, no idea what was going on there in October

yes, the glasses fit well under the Reverb G2.
No, you can't take them off, but frankly, you don't need headphones apart from them.
I bought it 2 weeks ago and it was indeed a version 2.
If I remember correctly, it means that it is the version without a controller, i.e. headset only.

Yes, there is steamVR to play Steam Games in VR. Of course the games have to support VR.

I know from first-hand experience that a 2070 Super is sufficient for most games. For simulations such as DCS etc., however, it becomes unplayable. Probably a minimum of a 2080ti is needed there.
