No, this is not a list price. Digitec seems to operate a kind of flexible pricing, as is known from hotel bookings. But apparently it has not yet gained this acceptance.
You can also use the HP Reverb G2 with the Valve Index controllers if you want optimal "lighthouse tracking". But that costs a lot of money. The version without controllers is probably intended for these people. Otherwise you need the controllers, because the HP Reverb G2 doesn't support finger tracking either. How else will you control the headset?
