The machine is noisy, that's for certain. Mine has been noisy from the day I installed it. It hasn't become more noisy. I don't think it needs repair as long as it keeps printing. Let's face it, even HP printers are now cheaply made, plastic where older printers used to have metal, etc. Any chance you could put it in an enclosed cabinet?

Hello Pedronote. Not true, the "e" has nothing to do with HP+ as far as I know. HP+ is not activated on my HP 9010e and I have not done so.

I would have to try it out, I only got the printer 1-2 days ago. But I mostly scan via HP easy scan on the Mac because I can also use the OCR function there, which doesn't work on the normal HP Smart App, so with HP Smart you only have a photo of the document in PDF form.
