I'm not sure if it's the 1440p, but for the wide angle you need the Garmin 65w, but unfortunately it's only available in 1080p.
That's why I chose the 55, better resolution but smaller angle!
Personally I chose Switzerland as the country and then it supports French. The explanatory documents are in English because there is very little information to give (the camera is already programmed to work as is). For more explanations, the instructions refer to the Garmin website
Hello. The function is not available for Switzerland, as soon as you go to Germany it works automatically. :) So no need to worry. (By the way, it's a great device, I can highly recommend it).
It was the same for me as long as the battery was not charged. After the first long drive, this message no longer appeared. Nevertheless, strange. Resolution etc. remains saved when the battery is empty, but the country setting does not.
I have a Garmin 55 (55W does not exist, only 65W. W stands for wide angle). The camera does not have a motion sensor, but reacts to vibrations. For this purpose, however, it is necessary to both permanently supply the device with power by means of an optional (!) cable and to inform it about the state of the vehicle (ignition on/off).
The date, time, GPS coordinates and speed are continuously displayed at the bottom of the exported video.
In the Garmin programme, you can also display a Google map with a position point parallel to the video.
GPS coordinates and speed are of course only available with GPS reception; this information is missing when recording in a car park, for example.
