Question about Garmin Dash Cam 55
The Garmin 55 always records in 1 minute sequences; is there an endless setting? Otherwise I can only watch the recordings with interruptions, i.e. I have to start a new sequence again and again.

You must use the original video programme (free) from Garmin. This puts the 1-minute sequences together without interruption.
The 1 minute files can be joined using the free ffmpeg cmd line software.
Have batch file eg join.bat with example content d:\ffmpeg -f concat -i filelist.txt -codec copy final.mp4
where filelist.txt gives all your 1 minutes files (one per line) in format as follows: file 'GRMN2209.MP4'
example assumes all files involved on d:\ drive location

Of course there is the Travelaps function on the camera, which makes a kind of quick summary of several 1-minute sequences. But this is not the solution to your question. Staehlinpeter's answer is the most obvious.
