Every time I switch on the unit I have to select the country and language first, is that normal or can I save it somewhere?

It was the same for me as long as the battery was not charged. After the first long drive, this message no longer appeared. Nevertheless, strange. Resolution etc. remains saved when the battery is empty, but the country setting does not.
Take it into the flat, let it connect to a satellite on the balcony or from the window. To do this, the device must be switched on and run for a certain time (10 minutes was enough for me). After that, the request never came again.
