I'm not a professional but the title says heat output BTU/h and volume of the room. I don't know why the weaker one is more expensive. Maybe quieter or smaller. But I don't feel like reading through all the specs. And these parameters don't play a role for me personally.
This only works if you have prepared such a great window kit in each room and then connect the hose to it. The comment 'can be easily changed from room to room' is very exaggerated. It's not that simple. It's always the same with the pictures, you hide all the ugly things like hoses. If you look at the last picture, you can see part of the Premium window kit by the window door. But the hose is nicely hidden behind the unit and not visible.
yes, Electrolux window kit EWK04 and there : https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s2/product/electrolux-fensterdichtungssatz-klimaanlage-zubehoer-8283237,
and there's the cheaper version, which is invisible: Kibernetik window kit
Cooling the inside temperature down to 20 degrees is no problem, the unit manages this without any problems if the exhaust hose leads outside and everything is tight.
I can't say anything about the price.
The unit switches to low mode when the temperature is reached. If the temperature rises above the set temperature, it cools more strongly again.
(Thermostat) However, the temperature is measured on the unit itself and does not necessarily reflect the room temperature. If I enter 24° on Auto, the system already reduces at 24.7°. If that is not cool enough, simply set it one degree lower and it cools more.
In my experience, cooling down is faster with the Swing setting. The air mixes better.
You can lead the hose outside through any opening. This should not be a problem even with skylights. It is better to use a window kit with which the window opening can be sealed. This prevents warm air from outside from flowing right back in. There are also ones that are suitable for roof windows, e.g. https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s2/product/kibernetik-fensterabdichtung-klimaanlage-zubehoer-4672275. However, I do not know this product and therefore cannot judge how good it is.
No, the condes water connection does not have to be permanently connected. The exhaust air hose is more complicated. This requires a good construction (window, wall duct, etc.).
Scope of delivery :
- Electrolux Chill Flex Pro air conditioning unit
- Remote control and battery
- Manual
- Exhaust hose
- Adapter
- Permanent drain hose
You can drain it either at the top or at the bottom with a hose. (The bottom is only used if you have to move it to another place).
By the way, we had virtually no condensation. But it cooled really well.
Due to the current situation, there are effectively delays. However, I have briefly checked the order and according to our information the expected delivery date should be next week (no guarantee).
According to the Electrolux website, it should be capable of this, but it all depends on the chamber it has to cool. In theory it is 125m^3. According to some evaluations it is rather slow if there is too much space, so you have to be very careful not to exceed the indicated limit.
As for the insulation, this too is theoretically feasible, as long as the pipe goes outside and the window is well covered. Then there is also this accessory which serves to do the insulation: Electrolux Fensterdichtungssatz EWS01
There is no categorical answer, it depends very much on the house incl. insulation etc. In my attic flat, despite indoor temperatures of well over 30 degrees without cooling, it was always enough to run the unit in the evening and switch it off overnight. However, sometimes it was already >1 h, which also depends on the room. It is important that the exhaust air hose is laid in such a way that a lot of hot air does not come in again through the same opening, i.e. insulate and do not start too early.
Hello, I bought the system new and when I ran it in cool mode at the lowest cooling capacity of 16 degrees, it cooled permanently in hot weather. Recently, when it is a little less warm, the system only turns on the compressor sporadically, the cooling capacity is so low. Does it check the room temperature and only provide full cooling when really necessary? In this case, the room temperature is approx. 25 degrees. Is this set for economic reasons? It is not in car mode, so it should make cold air permanently. Does anyone know anything about this? Greetings Beat
The drain function is only required when the appliance is used as a dehumidifier or as a heater; the water requires draining in these modes only. When the appliance is used as an air conditioner the moisture is not collected, rather, it is sent outside as hot moist air via the large air tunnel/pipe.
