How is this now? For normal cooling operation, does the condensation water hose have to be connected, and if so, at the top or bottom? Thank you for a competent answer. You read both here... yes and no

No, the condes water connection does not have to be permanently connected. The exhaust air hose is more complicated. This requires a good construction (window, wall duct, etc.).
