Yes, that is generally possible if it is a USB-C charging cable. The charger has a USB-C port and is compatible with USB-C cables; Fairphone also recommends USB-C cables for its devices and states that third-party chargers are possible, provided they are compatible. If your Fairphone cable is a USB-A to USB-C cable, it can charge via the USB-A port. For optimal fast charging, a USB-C to USB-C cable is the more suitable choice.
Yes, you can. The charger provides up to 65 W and automatically adjusts the power; a smartphone that supports 50 W will charge normally, but not necessarily always at the full 50 W, as this depends on the device and the port being used. Important points: - A single USB-C port is suitable for fast charging. - The smartphone will only charge as fast as its own charging system allows. - When multiple devices are charged simultaneously, the power is distributed.
Although the power adapter and cable provide sufficient power, Xiaomi supports its own charging protocol for 67 W fast charging. Therefore, the maximum charging speed usually only works with the original Xiaomi power adapter and cable or specially compatible accessories. Although universal power adapters charge the smartphone without any problems, they are often significantly slower. In addition to performance, the supported charging protocol and the right cable are also crucial.
It's difficult to judge if you can't test it. I would recommend registering it as a service case or visiting one of our stores. That way you can test it and rule out a fault. Otherwise, charging should also work individually with the USB-A without having to constantly plug it in and out.
