Yes, this is possible without problems, but the resolution of this monitor is quite poor. For better picture quality, I recommend a 4K UHD monitor and then using it with scaling with slightly less resolution for razor-sharp texts. Here would be my suggestion, you don't notice the 27 inch at all after a few days but you can display much more content on the screen. price-wise it's not a big surcharge, but the picture will be much sharper (4 x more pixels this display has). LG 27UL650-W (3840 x 2160 Pixels, 27 ")

Yes, it is possible, but this model is unsuitable because it has a very poor resolution. The Macbook has a very high pixel density, texts are displayed very sharply. This is not possible with the Dell 24 inch screen with only 1920 x 1080 pixels. As an alternative, I recommend this model: Dell P2421DC Dell P2421DC (23.80", 2560 x 1440 Pixels) The monitor has a much better resolution at 24 inches, also USB-C and the Macbook 2021 can also be charged with up to 65 watts with it.

I would cancel the Dell monitor, 1920 x 1080 is a pixel mash at 24 inches, fonts cannot be displayed sharply with it. Instead, I would order the model with the much better resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, which is also available immediately, has an IPS panel and USB-C, Dell P2421DC: Dell P2421DC (23.80", 2560 x 1440 Pixels) The better resolution is definitely worth the relatively low surcharge. Thanks to the very good scaling of Windows 10, this model shows a much sharper picture even with the 1920 x 1080 resolution, as many more pixels are available to display characters.

I don't think that the image can only be transferred via the USB interface. You need to connect the HDMI or Display Port (Display Port In) to your laptop. USB is only meant as a hub so that you can connect other USB devices directly to the screen of your laptop. You may be able to select the USB port as the signal source, but I don't think so. If it's not listed there, then it's pretty sure that it won't work via USB...

Yes, I use the monitor with a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) with the USB-C cable provided. I can even connect an external Blueray burner and a USB stick to the monitor. However, I don't know if I could also connect a second monitor to the Dell (as I only have one).
