Question about Dell P2419HC
Hello! I have now connected the monitor to my notebook via UBS and connected the mouse and keyboard to the monitor via USB. The signal from the mouse and keyboard is passed on to the notebook, but no picture appears on the monitor. Have I misunderstood something, or should this not be possible with USB-C? With other docking stations, the connection via USB-C on this notebook works without any problems... Maybe someone has an idea what the problem is? Notebook: Lenovo Ideapad 710S. Thank you!
I don't think that the image can only be transferred via the USB interface. You need to connect the HDMI or Display Port (Display Port In) to your laptop. USB is only meant as a hub so that you can connect other USB devices directly to the screen of your laptop.
You may be able to select the USB port as the signal source, but I don't think so. If it's not listed there, then it's pretty sure that it won't work via USB...
