I also tend to think that the card is defective. If available, you can try another PCI-E slot on the mainboard. However, I don't think this is the cause, if it were defective, nothing would work. Otherwise, return the card.
Is it possible to buy the sound card anywhere else or is it perhaps EoL and therefore no longer available?
Hi I would rather use an external DAC-AMP combination or an AVR...
I have FL Studio myself with the sound card. The quality is awesome! The RCA outputs are ideal for my studio speakers. The optical output is solid and the cable snaps in super. Now, for FL Studio, it also depends on the delay time. Unfortunately, this is too high for large projects. I prefer to recommend studio cards for that.
The ZxR has a headphone amplifier that is rated up to 600 ohms, so no problem.
You have to ask the question the other way round. It is never a question of whether a headphone has enough resistance for a sound card. Rather, you need to know if the sound card supports headphones with a certain resistance. And the ZxR has no problem there, it also supports headphones with 300 ohms.
In my case, the card runs perfectly in a PCIeX8 slot according to the PCI Express 3.0 standard. However, I assume that a PCIeX1 slot according to the 2.0 standard would also be sufficient, as that is what the ZxR is designed for. With regards, HJW
Yes, both are available on the additional card.
Does the MMX come with two 6.3 to 3.5mm adapters? I only see that it is mentioned in the scope of delivery, but not whether one or two. In any case, only one is shown in the picture. The card has 2 x 6.3 mm for it, so you might have to buy an additional 6.3mm adapter. https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/producttype/audio-adapter-konverter-2597?pdo=2242-9603:7595|2243-9604:308016&tagIds=77-532
