I regularly charge my Android devices at the Club and also run a WD My Book Studio II device connected via USB. Everything works fine, as do all the other connections.
It doesn't matter what kind of laptops/PCs you connect. Install the DisplayLink driver and your Windows will see the monitors. It is your operating system that remembers how you have arranged which monitors etc... the docking station remembers nothing.
I didn't have to install any drivers on my Asus with Windows 10 Prof. and everything works (network / mouse, keyboard, sound, data transfer to external hard drive via USB 2.0 and 3.1 / monitor). Everything runs transparently without "seeing" the hub.
Yes, no problem.
HP Envy x360 does not have USB-C Power? If not, then unfortunately it does not work. It must be added separately to the power supply.
I'm running the dock on a Macbook12" 2017. It will certainly work on a MacBook Pro 2017, but since the dock only supports USB-C, it doesn't take advantage of the MacBook Pro's TB3 capabilities.
So I haven't read anywhere that the dock supports DP 1.2, but the limitation may also refer to another reason (e.g. because an internal interface can no longer send data/t). In any case, the 30hz will probably be, because that's what the official product page says too: http://club-3d.com/index.php/products/reader.en/product/sensevision-usb-type-c-mst-charging-dock.html
