Question about Club 3D USB Type C MST Dock with charging function

We have this dock at a workstation in the shop. Until recently, an Asus laptop was connected. Everything except the charging function worked or was displayed. Now the new laptop, an Acer Aspire 5, A515-56G-74RQ, should be connected to it. It was, but the dock is not recognised - neither via the USB-C connection, nor via USB normal (via USB-C to USB adapter). Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be or how to fix it without replacing the new laptop or the dock?

A DisplayPort driver is already installed because the Acer laptop is still being operated at another workplace. There it runs via a newer dock from Club 3D.
