The dock is only supposed to be able to do 4k@30hz, but DP 1.2 can do 4k@60hz. Why is this not supported?

So I haven't read anywhere that the dock supports DP 1.2, but the limitation may also refer to another reason (e.g. because an internal interface can no longer send data/t).
In any case, the 30hz will probably be, because that's what the official product page says too:
