Thank you very much for your honest answer. The connection via DP is only intended as a back-up for a second notebook. My main computer is connected via HDMI. The monitor also has USB-C, but I haven't even dealt with that yet.

Hello does the adapter work as a connection between the gaming monitor samsung odysee g5 to the ps5 wants to connect the monitor gladly via dp because it allows more fps there is that possible with the adapter

No, unfortunately the ps5 does not give the correct signal. If you don't have hdmi 2.1, you can only play QHD at 120 fps. Which almost gives a better picture with hdmi 2.0.

No: as far as I know, the adapter is only compatible with HDMI <= 2.1. If the source does not provide more, more cannot come out in this case either.

Hi everyone, I have a huawei mateview GT 34 which I used mostly for home office work. I will receive my PS5 tomorrow and wanted to try to reach the 120hz on my monitor. (I don't care about the fact that the game will not appear on the entire sceren) but has anyone the same setup ? Does it work ?

Hello, I have a laptop with HDMI output. Can I use the adapter to connect from laptop (HDMI Out) to monitor (DP In)? The pictures are confusing. Picture #1 shows HDMI to DP, picture #3 also shows HDMI to DP, BUT in PICTURE #4 DP to HDMI?

According to our research, version 2.2 is backwards compatible. Therefore, it should work with HDMI 2.1, you just won't have the performance advantages provided by 2.2.

My PC monitor has a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels (100 Hz). The description only says what the maximum supported resolution is. Are there any restrictions for resolutions below this or is this resolution possible without any problems?

It should just about work out, but I advise against using such an old standard in 2020 if at all possible. In addition to this, my experience with this adapter has been poor. Despite the theoretical compatibility with my 1440p 144Hz monitor, I had really nasty micro-stutters. I also tried it on another monitor. Since my monitor only has full bandwidth via DP, I had to resort to such a solution and was disappointed. Whether this was due to the product itself or some other factor, I can't say. Fortunately, my laptop still has a USB Type-C port with DP 1.4 functionality. The matching Type-C to DP cable solved my problems.
