Hello Davidschmid
Yes, that is correct. Alternatively, there is the TN-247 for 3,000 or 2,300 pages. The reason for the "small" toners: Since the print quality decreases with the consumption and the age, it makes sense that "average printers" replace the toners every 1-2 years.
Personally, I don't usually buy a set with the same toners, but rather as needed, for example: TN-247BK (large toner, as black is needed for every print) and the colours CMY with TN-243 (as only about a quarter of my prints are coloured, as I have deliberately set "B/W - monochrome" as the default). This way I "save" the most and in the end I don't have a ruined investment if the thing unexpectedly gives up the ghost.

Hello Bag79
The TN-423 are not the same as TN-243 (number twists) and in the worst case they will not fit in your machine. Please make sure that you order the right ones = look at the unit, open the flap, there it is.
Greetings
