The charging cable is supplied with the 87W MacBook Pro. The 87W (86.86W) is achieved with 20.2V x 4.3A. Of course, a safety factor is included here, but I would not exceed this number of amps by much. More amps could result in a hot situation ;)
Yes - you can charge an iPhone 15 Pro with this cable. According to Apple, the USB-C cable (2m, USB 2.0, 240W) is compatible with iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models and works for charging and syncing.
Important details:
- The cable has USB-C connectors at each end and is suitable for devices with a USB-C port, including the iPhone 15 Pro.
- For maximum fast charging, use a USB-C power adapter capable of delivering the desired power (sold separately). The cable itself supports the necessary power transmission, but the speed will depend on the power adapter used.
I'm not completely sure of the exact power delivered to the iPhone by a specific adapter with this cable, as the final speed depends on the power adapter and device settings.
Hello,
This is a usb-c to usb-c cable. It only charges an iPad. Unfortunately it does not allow you to exchange files. You have to buy a new cable, the 0.8 m Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) cable CHF 45.00 or Thunderbolt 4 Pro cable (1.8 m) CHF 139.00.
For my use this cable is unfortunately not very useful. I had to switch to the 0.8 m cable from Apple at chf 45.00.
So too expensive for the service provided...
Even if you have USB-C ports... it's useless... you can't connect an external SSD... Apple sometimes offers amazing things.
I would check your monitor's accessories to see if it already has a suitable USB-C cable. The charging cable of the MBP is really only used for charging.
