No. With the free software "MPK mini Editor" you can set the MIDI parameters and use the MPK Mini MK2 with any DAW.
I have never had any problems of this kind. I use Live10 and the keyboard works perfectly there too.
It is a pure MIDI interface without audio
Yes, a USB cable is included.
Hello nfmfmt It would have to be an a-b printer cable. Here would be the link: Roline USB 2.0 Cable (A - B, 4.50m, 2.0) Greetings
No Ableton Live Lite is not included.
Yes, it works with any DAW, in this case also with Garage Band and Logic Pro. No, you don't need an audio interface, because the Mpk Mini is connected via USB.
Yes, you need the Lightning-to-USB 3 adapter from Apple (digitec item 5718376). It is important that you supply the MPK with power via this adapter, because the iPad itself only provides little power for external devices at the Lightning port. A similar question has already been answered in detail by @lustig12. To summarise briefly: The MPK Mini is purely an input device and has neither its own "intelligence" nor does it produce sounds. It only serves to operate suitable software (sequencer, DAW, sampler etc.) on your PC or Mac more comfortably than via mouse/keyboard.
Not directly, but -- What Akai says: "The MPK will be set up just like any other MIDI keyboard in Studio One, so for a setup process, check out their guide.". The guide from Studio One: https://support.presonus.com/hc/en-us/articles/210044153-Studio-One-How-do-I-setup-a-hardware-keyboard-synthesizer-in-Studio-One- Another link: http://forumsarchive.presonus.com/posts/list/33702.page and otherwise look directly here: https://www.google.ch/search?q=AKAI+MPK+Mini+MK2+Studio+One Most likely it works, because as long as the software supports MIDI devices, there should be no problems. I personally use LMMS, an open source software and even there the thing works.
