Is it possible to connect a guitar directly to this device to create a loop?

If you want to create a loop, you need a product of the Mpc series from Akai (X, Live or One) or another manufacturer.

No. Apart from the USB port to connect it to the computer, it has only one jack to connect a sustain pedal.
