Product details
The Lindy 300 m Fibre Optic HDMI & IR Extender is a premium solution for transmitting 4K 60Hz Ultra HD signals over long distances, which would not be possible with traditional copper cables. It uses a standard LC Duplex multimode fiber optic cable (50/125µm).
The HDMI 2.0 specification enables the transmission of detailed 4K Ultra HD resolutions using intelligent compression methods, with the signal being decompressed at the receiver for optically lossless images. With support for HDR (High Dynamic Range), video content can be displayed with brilliance, greater contrast, and a wider color spectrum—perfect for eye-catching digital signage systems in retail, impressive private installations, or for an immersive experience of sporting events. The HDCP 2.2 compatibility ensures that protected 4K content can be viewed seamlessly in films and television.
Unlike copper-based systems, the use of fiber optic cables guarantees immunity to electromagnetic interference and high-frequency magnetic fields, ensuring stable signal transmission in noisy and disruptive environments in commerce and industry.
The extender can transmit signals over distances of up to 300 m, providing great flexibility in installation. The transmitter can be connected to a variety of HDMI source devices, such as Blu-ray players, 4K HDR media players, or PCs, while the receiver can be placed in a suitable location within sight of a 4K display or projector.
With bidirectional IR and RS232 ports, source devices can be controlled from the display, and conversely, the display can also be controlled from the HDMI source device. Alternatively, RS232 support allows for the extension of control signals as part of a larger installation.
