With less than half the weight of a conventional digital medium format camera, the mirrorless X1D sets new standards in the world of photography. Based on our renowned design tradition, the camera is ergonomically designed to be compact and easy to use. Handmade in Sweden, the X1D showcases Scandinavian restraint and attractive performance. Small enough to be taken anywhere, yet powerful for all types of shooting.
The high-resolution rear LCD of the X1D offers touch operation for all camera functions. The elegant icon-based user interface simplifies individual settings and provides intuitive playback functions such as wipe and two-finger zoom. The camera features an electronic XGA viewfinder for a bright and sharp image, even in challenging lighting conditions.
With this mirrorless design, we have successfully integrated our 50-megapixel CMOS sensor into a housing that is more compact than most 35 mm cameras. This is the first time photographers can hold a camera in their hands that is no larger than a small-format rangefinder model, yet it offers a quality that only the Hasselblad medium format can achieve.
To enhance the completely new camera design, we have developed an innovative range of autofocus lenses that match the resolving power of the X1D. The outstanding new XCD lenses provide high edge-to-edge sharpness in a compact form that complements the slim camera body. H-System users can utilize their existing lenses on the X1D with an optional adapter.
Our powerful free image editing software delivers the best RAW file processing quality. It has been updated and enhanced with new features that make working with the X1D smooth and easy. You can now preview and export your RAW video files to Apple ProRes format for use in any popular desktop editing software. It is also compatible with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom software.
