The ultra-thin wide-angle design prevents vignetting and can remain permanently on the lens without significantly extending the lens mount. A protected front lens saves costly repair expenses. The filter is made of optical glass, with a black anodized metal filter holder and black-coated inner edges to avoid reflections. The edge sealing protects against dirt, and the frame retains its shape despite temperature fluctuations.
