The MC8 coating features four layers on each side for high light transmission and maximum anti-reflection. Both the front and back of the filter are coated, preventing any loss of contrast or brilliance and eliminating ghosting and double images. The ultra-thin wide-angle mount prevents vignetting and can remain permanently on the lens without significantly extending the lens barrel. A protected front lens helps save on costly repairs. The filter is made from optical glass, and the holder is crafted from black anodized metal with black-painted inner edges to avoid reflections. The edge sealing protects against contamination, and the frame maintains its dimensional stability despite temperature fluctuations.
