The successful toaster from the Plissé collection, designed by Michele De Lucchi for Alessi, is getting even bigger and will be available in a new elongated version from autumn 2023 - complete with a roll holder.

"Through skillful and creative pleating, designers shape fabrics and create garments that resemble art sculptures. Plissé originates from a folded sheet of paper and is crafted by Alessi like a fine couture object. The pleats give the form shape, structure it, because a form without pleats is merely a volume without shape. The pleats transform simple two-dimensional sheets into three-dimensional objects."
