can recommend the monitor. i have 2 of them on my mac pro via thunderbolt dock with 4k and sometimes use a win laptop with gtx 850m via hdmi for gaming with 1440p. If your requirements are not as high as you write, this should work with the gtx970 without further ado. Reducing the resolution is no problem. 4k is definitely worth it for work.

Does the monitor support HDCP 2.2 ?

Unfortunately, I can't judge yet. I ordered the monitor from Digitec on 08.03.2020 and have still not received it. Despite several complaints, the status has been set to ready for delivery for days now. But nothing is happening.

If you mean the power supply LED at the bottom of the unit ... There are the following options in the monitor settings: Power LED On/Off In the settings you can determine whether the power LED at the bottom of the unit is to be activated or deactivated and change the and change the behaviour of the LED. -- Executed: The power LED lights up when the unit is switched on. -- Standby: The power LED lights up when the unit is switched off. You can download an operating manual here: https://www.samsung.com/ch/support/model/LU28R550UQUXEN/

My monitor of this type has no USB3.1 input. I have Displayport and HDMI inputs. The USB port on the monitor is labelled Service. There is also a headphone jack. I did not read anything about a speaker in the manual or in the sales description. If that doesn't help you, please be more specific with your question and situation description if you need help. Then maybe they can help you.

Helpful answer

With PBP, you can view content from two different sources simultaneously on a split-screen view. And with PIP, you can arrange apps and programmes according to your own preferences. So there are even multiple ways to view different sources.

If by Mac Book Pro 13 you mean the current model with a 13" screen, the graphics card is not a problem. It can easily handle this resolution. However, I still can't use the full resolution because the font on the user interface gets too small. By the way, I wouldn't recommend this Samsung screen because you can't adjust the tilt.
