Question about Delock USB C – Mini USB B

Question: I would like to use my optical drive (ASUS SDRW-08D2S-U Lite) with my MacBook Air 2024. (The devices are compatible) The drive has the following cable: USB Mini-B to double USB A 2.0. Of course, the MacBook Air only has USB-C. I should be able to operate the drive with this cable. Correct?
