It says you can record video in 4K for 10 minutes and Full HD for 30 minutes. What does that mean in concrete terms? Does the camera just stop? I have a camcorder that I would like to replace with something more compact, but this limitation is a no-go as I understand it. Any experience with it?
You can record one video at a time up to a maximum of 10 minutes (30 for FullHD).
You can record as many videos as you want until you have enough memory. But each individual video cannot be more than 10 minutes long.
The camera cannot then process the data size. If the video is more than 10 minutes, it will not be saved, it will be interrupted, or it will be defective.
