Is this really only for charging? Can I also use it to transfer everything via a dock? https://www.galaxus.ch/de/product/i-tec-usb-30-usb-c-triple-4k-dock-hdmi-displayport-85w-usb-typ-c-usb-typ-a-dockingstation-8971796 I want to use both my laptops via the same dock with my 5K screen. It's a bit tedious to always switch the source etc. when I change laptops. I could then use both of them via USB C, or switch them over. Can anyone help? Maybe you already use it yourself?

Yes, unfortunately. This cable can only be used for charging if you already have a suitable charger. It is currently sold out at Digitec, unfortunately Digitec did not offer an alternative... Would have been nice with this confusing variety of chargers the requirements of the Surface Go...
