Hello,

This printer is recognized by Windows 7/8/8.1/10 and should be installed directly without any intervention from you if you connect it via USB. However, it is often preferable to install the official Canon drivers yourself to be sure to have all the functionalities and in some cases, for the printer to work correctly.
